The six members of the City Council are elected at-large to their positions by the voters of the entire city. They each serve two-year staggered terms. Being a Council member is considered a part-time job, although the time commitment often requires forty hours or more per week. The Council has two primary tools to implement policy. They include the City’s yearly budget and the various policies the Council sets at public meetings.

The City of Bee Cave City Council meetings are the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:00 pm, located at the new City Hall located within the Hill Country Galleria.
